“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God” (Lk 1:30)
Three hundred young people are gathered in Rome during these days to discuss the topic of Church, youth, and vocation. But this is only the minority of participants – a total of 14,100 young people are involved in the discussion online and exchange ideas.
The message of Pope Francis for the 33rd World Youth Day 2018 in the dioceses applies to all of them and to the youth of the whole world, as well as for all people with a youthful heart:
He introduces us to Mary. She is with us on the way.
In his message the Holy Father considers four words of the messenger of God to Mary, a simple young woman.
They can also encourage us:
Do not be afraid!
Mary!
You have found favor with God.
Courage in the present.
The Pope concludes with the appeal: “World Youth Day is for brave people! … Do you accept the challenge? “
