O, St. Joseph, patron saint, intercessor at God’s throne,
Hidden greatness, look on us; we entrust the Church to you.
Pure spouse Blessed Virgin Mary, include us in your love, With you
in the covenant of love – let us experience protection and salvation hour after hour.
You stand with us in the background, accompanying us in everyday life,
Help us to do hidden deeds bettering our world.
You are called beloved father, take us by your fatherly hand,
Intercede for us a loving heart sharing the other‘s joy and pain.
You are a father in mercy, give us also merciful love!
Let us gladly admit our weakness seeing God’s wisdom in this.
Like you, let us always listen with faith to God’s voice!
O, obedient father, show us God’s will at every moment.
You simply accepted, as no one can, what God sent,
As an accepting father, implore for us, too, the divine view.
With creative courage and trust, God allowed you to see many wonders.
You took crises as a chance to win new ground pure and clear.
Patron of workers, remain faithful to us, assist the unemployed,
give sustenance to everyone and human dignity to all, young and old.
Your being points to God the Father, in him you gave yourself to the life
entrusted to you. A father in the shadow, you looked through the shadow to God.
O Saint Joseph, stay close to us, keep every danger far away from us.
Help us live and do what is written in the Gospel.
