Whoever has the eyes of a child, is surrounded by wonders. J.K.
PRECIOUS
Recently I looked after Florie, age four. When I announced “Now we’re going outside for a little while,” she nodded very intelligently: “I’ll put on my mud pants!”
I soon understood why they were so important. Lucky it is, if you have mud pants like these – and a bike. It’s great for riding through the puddles – and stretching your legs far out. How it splashes! Afterwards you can stroke earthworms and eat a pretzel in the pouring rain. But look there, the dandelion by the wayside: A perfect dinner for the little rabbits, right? Soon the dandelion was picked. The joy that arose from all of this was simply infectious.
What an afternoon!
Yes, mud pants, a bike, and the eyes of a child
– sometimes nothing more is needed for adventure, in the lives of young and old alike!
