Seven young mothers sealed the covenant of love with the Mother Thrice Admirable in the Schoenstatt Shrine in Brig, Switzerland
For seven years, some young women have been meeting every month in House Schoenstatt in Brig for their women’s get-together. If at all possible they don’t miss a meeting. We asked ourselves why it is that busy young women and mothers simply love this meeting. Here’s what they said.
Why we love these meetings
- We appreciate talking about issues of life and faith with like-minded women.
- It is great that we can bring our little children with us and child care is provided.
- The community means much to us.
- We like that it is Marian. Knowing the Blessed Mother is mother and educator and that she is educator of the entire family makes our everyday lives easier.
- Father Kentenich’s world of thought helps us to approach the daily challenges with greater serenity.
Valuable contributions to the capital of grace
In the course of time the wish to seal the covenant of love with the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother and Queen matured. When it came to the value of contributions to the capital of grace, some women faced no small challenge.
A child with a heart defect
One woman who was expecting her fifth child learned with certainty in an exam that the child would have a major heart defect. She was advised to abort the child. But she, anchored in her faith, took a difficult path together with her husband and kept their child. Surgeries followed and everything was done to save the child. Miraculously, little Johannes is now a radiant, healthy boy.
The woman and mother in question commented several times how much she felt supported by the group with their prayers, encouragement and contributions to the capital of grace during this difficult time.
Diagnosis: breast cancer
This past summer one oft he women who is a mother of four children was diagnosed with breast cancer. For weeks and months she underwent intensive chemotherapy and then major surgery. She said simply and bravely that now she could bring the Blessed Mother many contributions to the capital of grace and she was extremely grateful that the others offered contributions to the capital of grace for her. Despite many ups and downs, the young woman never lost her faith in the loving providence and God or her courage and hope.
Death of a relative
Finally, another woman suddenly lost her beloved father-in-law to heart failure.

On March 16, 2025, in Brig, in the Schoenstatt Shrine “Source of Living Faith”,
the seven women sealed the covenant of love with the Blessed Mother,
the woman of great faith.
